Between 27 July 2021 and 4 August 2021, the blackbody cadence on each of the CYGNSS spacecraft changed from 58/59 seconds of normal DDMs and 3/4 seconds of blackbody DDMs to 612/613 seconds of normal DDMs and 5/6 seconds of black body DDMs. This change allows for more L1 through L3 samples to be generated since no samples are generated while the spacecrafts are in blackbody mode. The lengthening of the time between blackbody switches was shown to not have a significant impact on the CYGNSS data quality. This black body cadence change affects all versions of the CYGNSS data that provided retrievals moving forward from these transition times.
