Geo-referencing of the Aquarius L3 mapped data
Posted: Thu Mar 03, 2016 2:02 pmThe Aquarius mission L3 mapped data files contain no supplementary variables containing explicit designation of Lat/Lon coordinates for the 180 x 360 2D-array ("L3m_data") holding the SSS or Density, Windspeed or ancillary SST data. The origin (0,0) of this 2D L3m_data array is at -90 lat, -180 lon. This information is important for geo-referencing purposes.
