SMAP access via thredds broken?

I am trying to access the thredds directory for the SMAP data [https://thredds.jpl.nasa.gov/thredds/catalog_smap.html].
But the link seems to be broken. Is this a known issue?

Any recommended workaround that someone knows of? I am basically trying to access the smap files as an aggregated (one link) opendap link using the xarray package in python.
