I want to use QSCAT dataset to compare with my model results

User Inquiry:
I want to use this dataset (SeaWinds on QuikSCAT Level 3 Surface Wind Speed for Climate Model Comparison) to compare with my model results, but it seems that this dataset only is monthly frequency. I would like to ask that if there is daily frequency for this dataset?

Also, I am wondering if there is ocean wind dataset in daily frequency in netcdf format?

Reply to User:
The dataset you are referring to was derived directly from the following dataset: https://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/dataset/QSCAT_LEVEL_3_V2

This is provided on a daily frequency.

Yes, but it will only be available as a Level 2 (i.e., swath) dataset. Each of the files corresponds to a unique orbit, whereby there are approximately 14 orbital data files per day.

Here's the latest netCDF QuikSCAT Level 2 dataset: https://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/dataset/QSC ... 12_LCR_3.1
