NASA Internship Questions

NASA Internship Questions

Postby olekhabiter7 » Thu Sep 10, 2020 10:03 am

I have applied to NASA for the Summer 2020 Internships (that may or may not happen).

I have been searching through posts on Reddit to determine as much detail as I can about internships and the best ways to try to get selected for one.

With that being said, one of the recommendations was to try to directly email whoever the advisor would be for that project to at least have them be familiar with your name. However, none of the projects I applied to have any name or contact information in them. Is there a way for me to find out who I might be able to contact to introduce myself?

I know this year is a little different due to the possibility of everything being cancelled but does anyone know generally when internships stop being offered? Like if I hear nothing back by mid-April, does that mean I probably didn't get anything? I know offers start coming out in February but just wasn't sure when they might stop offers.

All of the things I applied to were astrophysics related if that matters (mostly at Ames but some at other places as well).
