Regarding Chlorophyll product

I am using Monthly Aqua_4Km chlorophyll product for my study. I have some
basic questions for this product as I am a beginner in the oceanography.

1. What is the scale factor of the product?
2. What is the difference between chlorophyll OCI and OCX ?

The OCI chlorophyll products (chl_oci) is a modification of the standard OCx algorithm (http://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/REPROCE ... 2009/ocv6/) that switches from the OCx band ratio approach to a spectral differencing approach at low chlorophyll concentrations. The algorithm and it's benefits are fully descrived in Hu et al. (20120. It is being produced as an evaluation product, with the idea that it may replace the current OCx algorithm for the chlor_a product in the next major ocean color reprocessing.
