The legacy PO.DAAC OPeNDAP service you are looking for is no longer available!
Instead, we have introduced the “OPeNDAP in the cloud”, a hosted, Earthdata enterprise service that provides a single interface to all Earthdata cloud data enabled for OPeNDAP. Because of the move to a hosted service, there are some mechanisms that have changed for how users interact with the tool.
The way OPeNDAP-in-the-cloud works is by file (or by granule) instead of by collection. As such, OPeNDAP URLs are accessed using search-based hierarchical file browsing methods such as Common Metadata Repository (CMR) and CMR Virtual Directories.
Might we suggest the following solutions?
-
For help in transitioning to the “OPeNDAP in the cloud", see the OPeNDAP-in-the-Cloud Tutorial
-
To learn how to access variable subsets from OPeNDAP in the Cloud check out the PO.DAAC Cookbook OPeNDAP Access and Gridding tutorial
- For information on PO.DAAC cloud transition, please see the PO.DAAC Cloud Data Page with About, FAQs, Resources, Access Data and Migration information
-
To ensure a successful transition for all PO.DAAC users, the PO.DAAC in the CLOUD Forum can be used as the primary entry point to help address technical issues and concerns.
