The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the Tellus JPL GRACE and GRACE-FO Mascon Ocean, Ice, and Hydrology Equivalent Water Height Release 06.1 version 03 (RL06.1Mv03) datasets.

This release includes two JPL Monthly Mascon RL06.1Mv03 datasets and three time series of the Mascon derived sea level changes, which supersede the existing JPL Mascon RL06Mv02 datasets (DOI: 10.5067/TEMSC-3JC62; 10.5067/TEMSC-3MJ62; 10.5067/TEMSC-OTS62; 10.5067/TEMSC-GTS62; 10.5067/TEMSC-ATS62). The RL06.1Mv03 differs from RL06Mv02 only in the Level-1B accelerometer transplant data that is used for the GRACE-FO2(GF2) satellite. This provides improved estimates of non-gravitational forces on GF2, and in turn yields improved quality of the gravity and mass change data products derived from Mascon. Two Mascon datasets provide monthly coverage on a global 0.5-degree regular lat/lon grid, while the three time series datasets provide the non-steric or mass only sea level changes over time in ASCII format. The temporal coverage extends from April 2002 to present, and will be updated in forward data stream with nominal bi-monthly latency.
