NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California invited the public to its annual Open House on October 11-12, 2014. JPL’s Open House 2014 was a historic occasion, setting an attendance record of 45,000 visitors.

At the event, Jessica Hausman, Vardis Tsontos, Ed Armstrong, George Chang, Ben Holt, and David Moroni showcased PO.DAAC's State of the Ocean (SOTO) visualization capabilities. Jessica Hausman, Ed Armstrong, and Ben Holt also gave hyperwall talks on sea surface temperature.
