The Arctic Ocean is one of the most important and challenging regions to observe - it experiences the largest changes from climate warming, and at the same time is one of the most difficult to sample because of sea ice and extreme cold temperatures.
EUMETSAT has established a decommissioning plan for the MetOp-A spacecraft, it’s associated instrument payload, and has started coordinating a data production decommissioning plan with data production centers and stakeholders such as the EUMETSAT Data Centre, KNMI at OSI SAF and NOAA.
The PO.DAAC data archive is being migrated to the NASA Earthdata Cloud, hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS). This transition to the cloud is taking place in several phases.
