The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the GHRSST Level 2P Sea Surface Temperature Version 1.0 from the Electro-Optical Infrared Weather System Geostationary (EWSG2) dataset. The dataset is produced by the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO) from the GOES Imager sensor on the Electro-Optical Infrared Weather System – Geostationary satellite (EWS-G2), formerly GOES-15. The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the release of the validated OPERA Dynamic Surface Water Extent from Sentinel-1 (DSWx-S1 Version 1) Dataset. OPERA DSWx-S1 provides near-global geographical mapping of surface water extent over land at a spatial resolution of 30 meters over the Military Grid reference System (MGRS) grid system, with a temporal revisit frequency between 6-12 days.

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the general availability of Hydrocron - an API for time series retrievals of hydrology data products from the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission.

Due to the major weather impacts from the recent hurricanes Helene and Milton on NOAA data centers several PO.DAAC sea surface temperature (SST) datasets have been affected.

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the first public release of the COWVR-TEMPEST Temperature Sensor Data Records (TSDRs) and Environmental Data Record (EDR), produced by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. 

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the completion of the back-fill processing for the version 6.0 SMAP Sea Surface Salinity (SSS) validated datasets from Remote Sensing Systems (RSS), sponsored by the NASA Ocean Salinity Science Team.

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the RL06.3 update to several GRACE-FO data sets produced by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, including Level 2 gravity anomalies as well as Level 3 (including MASCON) ocean bottom pressure and terrestrial water mass anomalies.

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) data products from the CYGNSS science team including level 3 merged (MRG) V3.2.1 dataset, level 3 MRG Near Real Time (NRT) V3.2.1 dataset, and daily watermask v3.2 dataset from UC Berkeley.

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the (Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System) CYGNSS Science Data Record (SDR) Version 3.2 (V3.2) Level 3 merged (L3 MRG) near real time (NRT) wind speed data product. The dataset is produced by combining Level 2 Fully Developed Seas (FDS) and Young Seas Limited Fetch (YSLF) winds data, eliminating the need to choose between them depending on sea state development and proximity to storms. The data are provided in netCDF-4 format and extend from 1 August 2018 to the present with an approximate 2 and 24 hours latency.
