Animation: CYGNSS Version 2.1 Level 3 Daily Wind Speed Over the Tropical Oceans

The Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) is a NASA Earth System Science Pathfinder Mission that is intended to collect the first frequent space‐based measurements of surface wind speeds in the inner core of tropical cyclones. Made up of a constellation of eight micro-satellites, the observatories provide nearly gap-free Earth coverage using an orbital inclination of approximately 35° from the equator, with a mean (i.e., average) revisit time of seven hours and a median revisit time of three hours.

NASA Earthdata Webinar on 10/24 – Goodbye FTP

2018-10-22

Please join us for the upcoming NASA Earthdata Webinar "Goodbye FTP, New Ways to Access NASA's Physical Oceanography Data at PO.DAAC" on Wednesday, October 24th!

NASA is in the process of deprecating the use of the FTP protocol for data and information access. In line with these efforts, the Physical Oceanography Distributed Active Archive Center (PO.DAAC) is pleased to offer Drive as a robust FTP alternative for browsing and retrieving physical oceanography data at PO.DAAC (podaac-tools.jpl.nasa.gov/drive/).
