Due to the recent US government shutdown, the popular NOAA GHRSST Level-4 AVHRR-OI dataset has been impacted and delayed, but will quickly resume delivery tomorrow. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Please be informed that the Remote Sensing Systems (REMSS) GHRSST Level-4 datasets (MW_OI and MW-IR_OI) have been upgraded from version v4.0 to v5.0. Several improvements have been made in this update, including:
1. GPM Microwave Imager (GMI) is added to both MW_OI and MW-IR_OI products.
2. Suomi-NPP VIIRS is added to the MW_IR_OI product.
The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) Version 2.0 Science Data Record, which includes datasets from processing levels 1, 2, and 3. CYGNSS is a NASA Earth System Science Pathfinder Mission that will collect the first frequent space‐based measurements of surface wind speeds in the inner core of tropical cyclones.
PO.DAAC represents at the 2017 Fall AGU Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Aquarius V5.0 end-of –mission data were publicly released by the PO.DAAC on 7 December 2017. Here we see a 7-day composite global image of sea surface salinity (SSS) from Aquarius for the period centered around September 27, 2011.
Please be informed that GHRSST GOES13 L3C v1.0 SST data will end on Dec. 13th 2017. An official message from OSISAF informs the PO.DAAC that OSISAF will not be able to receive the GOES-13 data and distribute the GOES13 L3C SST product from Dec. 14, 2017 onwards. Future GHRSST data from GOES-16 (GOES-East) may become available soon, but there is no firm date yet. PO.DAAC will keep in close contact with OSISAF for the availability of the GOES16 products.
This service message has been published on OSISAF web site:
The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the release of a set of GHRSST L2P/L3U Sea Surface Temperature (SST) datasets from multiple microwave instruments produced by the Remote Sensing Systems (RSS, or REMSS).
We are pleased to announce an update to the PO.DAAC State of the Ocean (SOTO) visualization tool: Version 4.2.1 is now available online at https://podaac-tools.jpl.nasa.gov/soto/.
For questions or to provide feedback, please visit the State Of The Ocean (SOTO) Forum.
The PO.DAAC State of the Ocean (SOTO) will be temporarily unavailable during the scheduled upgrade window. We apologize for the inconvenience.
