HOMaGE G/GFO Monthly Global Ocean Mass Anomaly v1.0 Dataset Release

2022-07-22

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the GRACE/GRACE-FO Level-4 Monthly Global Ocean Mass Anomaly v1.0 dataset funded by the NASA Heat and Ocean Mass from Gravity ESDR (HOMaGE) project.

This release contains the time series of the averaged monthly Global Ocean Mass Anomalies (GOMA), which are derived from the measurements of the GRACE and GRACE Follow-On (G/GFO) satellite missions.

REMSS GHRSST L4 MW-OI and MW-IR-OI v5.1 Datasets Release

2022-07-14

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the GHRSST Level-4 MW-OI and MW-IR-OI Sea Surface Temperature (SST) v5.1 datasets produced by the Remote Sensing Systems (REMSS).

This release consists of two datasets: MW_IR_OI-REMSS-L4-GLOB-v5.1 and MW_OI-REMSS-L4-GLOB-v5.1. The v5.1 data is updated from the previous v5.0 (DOI10.5067/GHMWI-4FR05 and 10.5067/GHMWO-4FR05) with extensive algorithm improvements and upgrades.

SWOT Simulated North American Continent Hydrology Datasets Release

2022-06-24

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the release of the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) Simulated North American Continent Hydrology Datasets. This release provides simulated water surface elevation products that resemble the data to be derived from SWOT Ka-band Radar Interferometer (KaRIn) measurements.

SWOT 2019-2020 Prelaunch Oceanography Field Campaign Datasets Release

2022-06-09

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the release of the datasets from the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) 2019-2020 Prelaunch Oceanography Field Campaign. The campaign was designed to test the performance of several in-situ instruments/platforms in meeting the SWOT Sea Surface Height (SSH) Calibration/Validation (CalVal) requirement, and conducted near the SWOT CalVal crossover location, about 300 kilometers west of Monterey, California, between September, 2019 and January, 2020.

PO.DAAC Dataset Migration to Earthdata Cloud in AWS - Phase 4 - Batch 1

2022-05-24

As PO.DAAC continues to migrate its data archive to NASA’s Earthdata Cloud, hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are pleased to announce the addition of 4 new cloud datasets. In an effort to best support the users as they begin transitioning their workflows or data access points to a cloud-based process, PO.DAAC is making the existing datasets from its archive available from and within the Earthdata Cloud as soon as they are available.

Oceans Melting Greenland (OMG) Airborne and In Situ Field Campaign Datasets Release

2022-05-11

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the release of multiple datasets from Oceans Melting Greenland (OMG), a 6-year (2015-2021) NASA Earth Venture Suborbital-2 (EVS-2) mission that produced novel datasets and research to give insight into how marine glaciers react in the presence of warm, salty Atlantic ocean water.
